First Entry

Only two more weeks until I will be in beautiful Oviedo, Spain on an amazing adventure! It is really exciting to think that in just a few short weeks I will be in a different country on another continent. I looking forward to experiencing a new place with different people and customs. I am most looking forward to meeting new people and seeing a different place of the world. Of course it will be a difficult experience as well since I do not speak their language very well. I have come to accept that I will just have to talk like a five year old for five weeks while I try to communicate with the Spaniards. I'm especially nervous about meeting my family because I really want to get to know them but I feel that that will be hard because of the language barriers. Despite all these barriers it will be amazing to live in a different culture. From what I can tell from google earth Oviedo will be an amazing city to live in with lots of cool buildings and shops to explore. I guess I will just have to buck up and force myself to just make do with the language skills I have and enjoy my time while I'm there.
